Amiya Ranjna Sinha was Born in Patna, Bihar, Amiya and completed his schooling in the city and graduated in 1965 from Patna University. He learnt painting from Nripen Roy, Professor at Patna Arts College, thereafter under the guidance of distinguished artists like – Deviprasad Roy Chowdhury, Indra Dugar and Sunil Kumar Paul. He did Solo Show at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata in 1996 ,Participated in Group Exhibition – Third Annual exhibition of the North Kolkata Art Council in 1973,Seventeenth Mid-Summer Exhibition of the Artist of West Bengal in 1981 his Painting was exhibited in the Metro Rail moving compartment in 1993 and displayed at Gallerie La mere in 2001 & 2002.His Art works are part of many private collections.Publications: ‘Silky Way’ (Registration No. 53189/94), world’s first screen printed magazine which was edited, printed and published by him. His artworks were also published regularly in this specialized quarterly art magazine.
