About the Artist
Garima studied .B.F.A and M.F.A. in Ceramics wheel thrown Pottery from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharti University, Santiniketan, West Bengal. Her subsidiary subject was Ceramic Sculptures.
She has participated in several exhibitions and shows at Kala Bhavana Santiniketan.
In 2014 she was the resident artist at Taj Vivanta, Madikeri Coorg, Karnataka.
Since 2012 she has been working in various Institutions and Pottery Studios across India.
She is also trained in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music.

In the words of Garima Negi “Expressing your love to others is something one should do AT THE TIME YOU NEED AFFECTION THE MOST rather than expecting the same from others As I realised it WE CAN Always give The LOVE WE NEVER RECEIVED I tried to express it through my work. Though a Hug is when we exchange our sentiments ,care and emotional support.but my intention was to express a sense of support here.I do want to work more on this series. It is made of high temperature Stoneware clay and Feldspar Glaze.
